This Sample Sunday from Philadelphia Story is a scene after Lance, Linc and Gabby storm the #1 Velvet Warehouse looking for Jennifer. They have subdued Soriano and then Lance's phone rings...

“Hey, asshat, answer the question.” She said placing her left foot squarely on his groin and applying just a little pressure. He stopped laughing and the moaning was back.
“So?” I prodded.
“Go to the pleasure rooms.” Gabby removed her foot. “You’ll see.” He started laughing again. “You will see!” Gabby made him yell out in pain again with a well-placed flick of her ankle.
“You go,” she said, “I’ll keep a foot on this waste.” I nodded to Linc and we raced out of the office and across the bar to where the velvet curtains were parted just a touch. You could see an outline of light between them and they swayed softly as if a fan was blowing on them from somewhere unseen. I stopped just short of the opening and took a deep breath.
“Center yourself, Cowboy.” Linc said quietly. I stopped and considered what he’d said. That was enough to center myself. It was time. I slowly pushed the curtain back with Betsy at the ready. I looked left and right seeing the hallway with a number of curtained rooms in each direction. I pointed left and went to the right. Linc slinked off down the hall silently. I watched him poke his pistol in one curtain, look in and move on. I did the same. There was nothing in the first room. When I got to the second room I thought I heard movement as I peered in. So pushed the curtain back and entered quietly. The red carpeting led up to the red leather couch in one smooth line. The walls had what appeared to be red and gold fur mixed together. I assume that would serve to muffle the sound. I flashed back to the night I was here and Jennifer was giving me a lap dance. I shook the image of her barely dressed in black from my mind. I stepped to the couch and turned registering each detail of the room from the immaculately clean brass railing on the far wall to the cabinet which held God-knows-what inside of it. I saw Linc pass the curtain in the outer hallway and quickly made my way to follow him. I saw him move from the next room to the next and then turn back to me before I could reach him.
“No one’s here. He’s lying. Let’s kill him.” He pushed past me before I could say anything. Apparently Linc is quite fast because he was already entering the office by the time I exited the back rooms. And three seconds later a gunshot went off. I raced across the room only to see Soriano rolling around the floor in agony, holding his left ear.
“I’ll make you deaf in your other ear if I don’t find out where Jennifer is in ten… nine… eight… seven…” it was at that moment that Smoke On The Water began to ring out. Someone was calling me now! Linc stopped counting and looked at me. I looked back as the chords continued to ring out. Gabby looked at me.
“Well,” she began, “you gonna get that?”
“Answer that phone? Now?” I remarked in disbelief. But I pulled it from my pocket anyway to see my favorite caller… Unknown.
“Shit…” I muttered and slid the slider to answer the call. “Hello?”
Jennifer’s dreadful scream of tortured pain reflected off a satellite somewhere in the stratosphere and hurdled directly through my phone, into my ear and cut my brain in half.
“Jenny!” I screamed louder than I’d thought.
