Emily Noble is a young, hard working professional woman.  She is a rising star at the F.B.I. and hopes to become the director one day, but she still has a long way to go.  And busting the Khayman Clan would take her a long way on that journey.

Until she meets Sam Shepard.  Sam is just another case until one night, he's not just another case to her.  She can't help herself as she begins to fall for the ruggedly handsome and definitively broken man.  Her need to fix things leads her to follow him more closely than she otherwise might think is wise and it gets her in trouble.
